Mind & You Therapy is a private practice run by Kainaat Qadri, a BABCP accredited High Intensity CBT Therapist. This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website, why, how it is used, and what rights you have over it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Kainaat Qadri, trading as Mind & You Therapy, is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. Any questions about this policy or how your data is handled can be sent to info@mindandyoutherapy.com.
When you submit the enquiry form on this website, the following information is collected:
No other personal data is knowingly collected through this website. This site does not use cookies or analytics trackers.
This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange your free 15-minute consultation, and, if you choose to proceed, to provide CBT therapy services. It is not used for marketing, and it is not sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Your explicit consent, given by ticking the consent box before submitting the enquiry form, is the lawful basis for processing this information. Because the "brief outline of the problem" field may contain details about your mental health, this is treated as special category data under UK GDPR, which requires this explicit consent specifically.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@mindandyoutherapy.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
The enquiry form is not monitored in real time and is not an appropriate route for urgent or crisis communication. Please avoid including detailed crisis or safeguarding information in the "brief outline" field. If you are in crisis, please contact your GP, call 111, or in an emergency call 999.
Enquiry form submissions are sent directly to Kainaat Qadri's private practice email address using a third-party form-delivery service. That service acts as a data processor and transmits the submission to that inbox; it does not otherwise use the information you provide. Only Kainaat Qadri has access to your enquiry once received.
All data in transit is encrypted (this site is served over HTTPS). Your enquiry email is kept only for as long as necessary to respond to you and, if you become a client, as part of your clinical records in line with BABCP's professional guidelines; if you do not proceed, enquiry details are deleted within a reasonable period, typically within 12 months.
The form-delivery service used to transmit enquiries to this practice may process data outside the UK. Where this is the case, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision) are relied upon to ensure your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact info@mindandyoutherapy.com. The ICO can be contacted at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Beyond this website's data handling, all therapeutic work is confidential and conducted within the BABCP's ethical framework, with the usual professional exceptions around risk of serious harm, which are explained clearly at the outset of any consultation.
This policy covers the enquiry form on this website. If you go on to book an initial assessment, you will separately be provided with a fuller Privacy Policy covering how your clinical data is handled throughout therapy, and a Therapy Contract setting out fees, cancellation terms, and the working agreement between us.
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if the form-delivery service or data retention practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
